Today I came school with a plan, to start on the Tornado's Sprite Rendering. the Tornado's series of tutorial has always been in Houdini 6 but it did not post much of a problem previously. But this time the tutorial was using nodes that Houdini 11 had removed. And everything was jumble up and I had to figure out by trial and error, which took most of my time today.Sprites rendering was not that difficult and in fact quite understandable, but due to self exploration it took time.
Firstly I create a point particle emitter using a sphere, add and changed the normal of the velocity, randomise the emission and connected it with sprite. And at OBJ I created a shopnetwork for my textures and sprites by and linked them and using outputshader. Then at Geometry's render tab's geometry tab I connected the sprite to the procedural shader. And also linked the texture at the material's tab.
Figuring out how to create polka dots texture
